Developer - C#, .NET

SUMMARY:
Sophelle, a leading provider of consulting services to the retail industry, is looking for an experienced C# .NET application developer. This position will be responsible for leading application development for Sophelle’s world-class retail clients, with a strong focus on leveraging the latest Microsoft technologies. This senior level developer will play a key role in architecting and implementing solutions to provide our retail clients with competitive advantage.

Knowledge of or willingness to learn SharePoint and SSIS is desired. Willingness or experience in developing for mobile devices desired for immediate full-time opening. This is a great opportunity for a strong, analytical individual contributor that loves to code. Some team and client interaction involved as well.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Must have C# .NET experience
• Must have ASP .NET experience
• Professional experience with C++ and Windows APIs
• Preference will be given to candidates that possess experience with SharePoint
• 5+ years development experience, including heads-down development in a well-run shop
• Thorough understanding of development best practices
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Diagnostic and analytical skills including willingness and ability to sift through available information, formulate questions for vendors/clients, and chase answers down in a timely fashion
• Demonstrated abilities to work as a team member and to quickly deliver in an iterative fashion balancing budget, time and expectations
• Strong interpersonal skills

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Retail applications experience highly desired, particularly regarding inventory management functionality
• Professional Experience with Java
• Knowledge of wireless security preferred
• Network and systems management experience
• Some project lead experience
• Experience with Wavelink Studio or Windows Mobile highly desireable
• Solid understanding of SQL
• Professional, hands-on experience with open-source systems, applications, and tools
