Senior QA and Release Engineer

SUMMARY:

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure HP/Mercury tools (Quality Center, Functional Test, LoadRunner, SiteScope, etc.)
• Create and document automated testing processes
• Write comprehensive test plans
• Develop and execute automated and manual test scripts
• Write automated test scripts using WinRunner and QuickTest Pro
• Customize reports to meet client needs
• Provide training to Sophelle and client staff on tools and processes
• Perform various release engineering functions including, but aren’t limited to, creating software builds and pushing releases into various environments, validating that launch scripts are up to date and useable
• Recommend and document improvements to testing processes
• Provide clients with clear and accurate assessments through written reports and presentations
• Provide client and Sophelle project manager with regular status updates

Requirements:

• 5+ years test automation using QuickTest Pro
• 5+ years TestDirector/Quality Center including customizing reports
• Understanding of mid-level management aspects of testing
• Experience designing and creating an entire testing infrastructure
• Experience installing, customizing and training others in all applications
• Experience creating data-driven automation scripts
• Experience with Selenium/Selenium RC/Selenium GRID, programming in Java
• Experience in release processes and best practices
• Great interpersonal and communication skills

Helpful:

• Experience in retail industry
• Experience creating and executing scripts using WinRunner and LoadRunner a plus
• Professional development experience in .NET and/or Java

Other:

• Work will be primarily at our Framingham, MA headquarters, but some travel to client premises may be required .
