SUMMARY:
This is a key management position in the Information Services department responsible for the support of two critical organizations – our stores group and our Human Resources group. A Director in the IS Department must combine technical and business knowledge and experience to provide the best possible systems solutions to our internal clients. A Director in the IS Department is also expected to apply project management and team leadership skills to successfully deliver projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overall responsibility and ownership of delivering and maintaining information services in support of the Stores organization and the Human Resources organization.
- Must manage in-Store applications including POS, Back Office Operations, Inventory Management, Mark Down Management, Security Systems, etc. This includes stores support (Store Operations and Help Desk and New Store Opening Process)
- Human Capital Management support, including all components of the associate lifecycle – recruiting & applicant management, on boarding, payroll, benefits, reviews, etc.
- Ownership of a conversion from an ADP/Proprietary set of solutions supporting HR and Payroll, to a new SaaS solution from WorkDay.
- Manage a technology team that supports stores systems including the stores help desk. Also manage the third party relationships where support may be outsourced.
- Project Management responsibilities include delivering successful projects implementing new or upgrading existing technical solutions. This job will include the phased implementation of a new SaaS solution for Payroll and Human Resources from WorkDay.
- Responsible for software quality assurance – develop and maintain solid test plans. Delivering high quality software releases is paramount to the success of this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7 to 10 years Management or higher experience in store systems and HR/Payroll
- Strong leadership & Project Management experience
- The ability to learn new technology quickly and thoroughly
- Advanced problem solving skills
- Ability to work through roadblocks and bring about resolution
- Experience with SQL and Relational Database technology
- Experience implementing & supporting Retail Point-of-Sale software, specifically Store POS: Micros Retail – DataVantage – Store21
- Experience implementing & supporting Human Resources/Payroll software preferred, specifically WorkDay
- Self motivated and enjoys learning new technologies
- Willingness to travel to stores, vendors, etc
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Windows
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
