SUMMARY:
Successful services company is seeking and experienced and highly motivated QA professional with extensive technical, leadership and sales experience to lead a QA and Risk Management practice.
- The Quality Assurance and Risk Management practice encompasses all areas of QA including strategy, management, planning and execution of manual and automated testing
- The candidate for this position must be an experienced QA manager with project lead, business process, strategic assessment and solid organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills are absolutely essential
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide senior level thought and practice leadership in the area of QA and risk management.
- Review, improve and take ownership of existing QA and risk management processes, tools and staff resources.
- Manage project teams consisting of a variable number of project resources including on-shore and off-shore QA professionals.
- Own QA and risk management practice top-line and take responsibility for driving sales and delivering results.
- Provide clear and accurate QA and risk management assessments and recommendations through written reports and presentations.
- Work with Engagement Managers on business development opportunities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum 10 years QA and risk management experience in senior level positions.
- In-depth, current expertise and demonstrated experience in all aspects of QA technology.
- Hands on experience with industry leading QA tools including HP/Mercury and IBM/Rational.
- Demonstrated ability to find, target, and win new business.
- Proven and very strong project management skills in managing multiple, large-scale QA and risk management projects.
- Strong ability to manage multiple, concurrent project budgets and staff.
- High-level people management skills including project management, performance management and coaching, staff development and the management of vendor personnel.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships and partnerships with diverse individuals and varied groups across business and organizational lines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills that can be directed toward technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to translate highly technical concepts and principles into business-oriented language that enables non-technical audiences to understand technical needs, objectives and issues from a value added perspective.
- Strong preference for a graduate-level degree (MS/MBA) with a concentration in computer science/information management and/or business administration. Bachelor's degree with a strong emphasis on information technology/science combined with extensive combination of technical and management experience (including leadership responsibilities) may be substituted for the graduate-level degree.
- Experience presenting to senior management.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
